Stacking Fruit

I visited the Marche Jean-Talon: slightly larger in size and scope than Cincinnati's Findlay Market, but much smaller than Ferry Building Marketplace especially on Saturdays, it wasn't a particularly interesting sight.

I did enjoy seeing how these fruit sellers carefully stacked their fruit!

It immediately brought to mind the produce sellers in Xinjiang, who also arranged their wares in neat stacks and pyramids.

Same goes for their bread sellers

This isn't common in America. Americans like to believe that our produce fell onto our supermarket shelves straight off of the farmer's picking basket. Hence the lack of arrangement.
