A Tale of Two Terminals: EWR food prices

A Tale of Two Terminals: EWR food prices

I had five hours between my train and my plane at Newark, which then became more like eight hours after my flight was delayed. So I went on the hunt for food. The options weren't terribly exciting in Terminal A landside, but sometimes I'm excited to indulge in fast food like McDonald's and Subway. This month, Subway's $5 footlong is the buffalo chicken sub which kind of appealed to me, but yikes, all of the prices were scrubbed out. The buffalo chicken sub was $7.89!

Since I had a lot of time to waste, I took the Airtrain to Terminal B. This landside foodcourt had another Subway, but this one had street pricing. One airport, two Subways, two different pricings!

The buffalo chicken? Couldn't really taste it underneath all of the toppings, but that wasn't a bad thing. I got pretty much every vegetable there was, plus this crushed pepper paste which made things nice and spicy (or was that the buffalo sauce?). Pretty good overall, had half for lunch, half for dinner!
