Our next stop was Kensington Market, a pedestrian friendly warren of streets lined with fun and hippie stores of all different cultures.

I first had a "Ya Man" Jamaican spicy beef patty. The shop staff were all Chinese people, but I at first gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know Chinese-Jamaican people. Unfortunately, I then looked at the back of the paper sleeve for the patty and found a large ingredients list, "keep refrigerated" instructions, and a formal Nutrition Facts label. Clearly they had not made these patties themselves.

Later we came across a large room filled with various vendors from different Latin American countries. The sign on the outside said 'Latin American Food Court"!

Here I had a curry beef empanada. I quite enjoyed it, as the crust was light and flaky, not the traditional short crust full of fat.
