The world's oldest profession
They say the world's oldest profession is marketing. After all, the second oldest profession, prostitution, couldn't exist without it.
We saw this in action at the ancient city of Ephesus. Here is the advertisement for the brothel (which was said to be connected by a secret tunnel to the library!), targeting the sailors coming into port.
Read from middle left, upwards, then down and to the right...
"If you have an empty heart (dots), and have money (more dots), keep going and on the left hand side (indicated by the left foot), you will see a beautiful woman. If you don't have any money, you can go to the library and read books"
At least that is what our guide told us!
